Oman and Italy
Two Millennia of Cross-Civilisational Dialogue
On display is a major international cultural cooperation project that traces the history of exchanges and relationships that, for over two millennia, have linked the Sultanate of Oman to the Mediterranean, Italy, and the great cultural and commercial networks of the ancient and modern worlds.
Through a selection of 59 works, artifacts, manuscripts, maps, and historical documents spanning from the Iron Age to the present day, the exhibition traces the history of trade and relations that, for over two millennia, have linked the Sultanate of Oman to the Mediterranean, Italy, and the major cultural and commercial networks of the ancient and modern worlds.
