Collection Carlo Cameroni
Abbot Carlo Cameroni, Treviglio 1793 - Turin 1862, donated first to the Biblioteca Ambrosiana and later to the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense a collection of about 800 autographs.

It was the main nucleus of a larger collection begun in Turin in 1856, at the encouragement of Camillo Benso Count of Cavour, called “Album di Beneficenza” because it was intended to meet the needs of Italian political emigrants to the Sardinian states. The collection, after various vicissitudes came in part to the Braidense.
